Install the app on your phone

The Hello Customer app runs in your browser, but you can install it to your home screen so it opens like any other app. Once installed, it opens full-screen, keeps the feedback you’ve already loaded readable offline, and shows a count on the app icon for unread items.

The install prompt appears after you sign in, not on the welcome page. The exact steps depend on your phone.

On Android (Chrome and similar browsers), a card slides up from the bottom of the screen:

Install Hello Customer Add to your home screen for quick access and offline support.

Tap Install to add it. If you’re not ready, tap Not now — the prompt comes back after about a week.

iOS doesn’t show a one-tap install button, so the app gives you the two steps to do it yourself:

  1. Tap the Share button in Safari’s toolbar.
  2. Scroll and tap Add to Home Screen.

💡 Once you’ve added it, tap I’ve added it so the app stops offering — this hides the prompt for good. Not ready? Tap Maybe later and the prompt comes back after about a week.

On iPhone, only Safari can add an app to the home screen. If you opened the app in Chrome, Firefox, or another browser, you’ll see a message telling you to switch:

To install this app, open this page in Safari and tap Share → Add to Home Screen

Tap Copy URL to copy the app’s address, then paste it into Safari and follow the Safari steps above.

  • Full-screen: the app opens on its own, without the browser address bar.
  • Offline support: feedback you’ve already loaded stays readable when you lose signal. See Use the app offline.
  • Push notifications: when a colleague shares feedback with you, your phone can notify you — even with the app closed.
  • Home-screen badge: a count appears on the app icon for unread shared items, on browsers that support it.

ℹ️ Push notifications only work from the installed app, and you switch them on yourself: open Settings → Notifications and turn on Mobile notifications, then allow notifications when your phone asks. See App badges and push notifications.
