Manage notifications

The app can mark new shared items on its home-screen icon and send push notifications once you turn them on.

On your home screen, the app icon shows a small badge count when you have unread shared items. It refreshes while the app is open and when a push notification arrives, and clears once you’ve seen everything. This works on supported browsers such as Chrome and Edge.

To add the app to your home screen, see Install the app on your phone.

ℹ️ Even without the badge, your shared items are always waiting for you. Open the Notifications tab (page titled Shared with you) to catch up. See App badges and push notifications.

Push notifications pop up on your phone when new feedback is shared with you. To switch them on:

  1. Install the app to your home screen — push is only available on the installed app.
  2. Open Settings (tap your avatar), go to the Notifications section, and turn on Mobile notifications.
  3. Allow notifications when your phone or browser asks.

Shared items still appear in the Notifications tab whether or not push is on — notifications are an extra delivery channel. On iPhone and iPad, push works only when the app is added to the Home Screen. The setting is per device: turn it on on each phone or computer where you’ve installed the app.

Instead of the toggle you may see a message:

  • Install the app to enable notifications. — you’re using the app in the browser; install it first.
  • Notifications are not supported on this browser. — this browser can’t show push notifications.
  • Notifications blocked. To enable, update your browser or OS notification settings for this app. — you denied the permission earlier; re-allow notifications for the app in your phone or browser settings, then return here.
